What Are Your Opinions on Marijuana Addiction?

Question by murphysmurphy: what are your opinions on ?
Some say you can not get addicted, some say you can, others say it depends on the person. what could a person do If they are addicted to marijuana and want to clean up since Marijuana is becoming more accepted and is treated like its no problem at all. Im not saying anything bad about Marijuana, Just asking what a person could do If they had the desire to quit, yet they at the same time also feel that they cant stop by themselves, or don’t even want to stop because the cravings are unbearable. Is there something like an AA meeting for marijuana? (please no stupid or ugly answers)

There is no such thing as being physically addicted to marijuana. You know how there nicotine in cigarettes that forces you to become addicted to it? There is no chemical substance in marijuana that will make you addicted to it, and it’s insanely healthier than cigarettes.

This is the only way someone can become addicted to marijuana:

I like to give the example — video games. Video games themselves do not have a chemical (like nicotine) that forces you to play even if you don’t want to. HOWEVER, people can love playing video games so much that they won’t work, won’t eat, won’t shower and just lay around the house all day playing video games. In this case, they would be “addicted” to playing video games.

The same thing applies to marijuana, or anything else for that matter! Someone can enjoy marijuana so much that that becomes all they do and they give up friends and family and a job just so they can lay around and do nothing but smoke marijuana all day.

All in all — there are no addictive chemicals in marijuana that force you to smoke against your will (like cigarettes), however you can get “addicted” to marijuana just like you can ANYTHING else you extremely enjoy doing.

Hope this was the information you were looking for!

Marijuana isn’t physically addictive but mentally addictive. I smoked everyday for 6 years saying ” il give up tommorow ” you really need to get away from weed smokers to stop but in the end you can only stop when your ready. Alot of my friends still smoke and I can chop their mixes for them without being slightly tempted. It’s a horrible drug in my opinion the week I stopped was the week I got a job and got my life together. It’s makes you not care or want to do anything something I’m glad I got away from before it was too late

    Oh wow man!
Like legalizing the righteous herb is like so necessary dude. I mean weed expands the conscious self to open up a deep and spiritual understanding of the cosmic reality we all share. The family unit would be so like completely aware of their place in the universe and they would be like so into deep revelations of their spiritual being. Marijuana like so expands one’s conscious and helps with the truly deep meaning of where are heads are at…
Dude… LOL. What was the question?
