Criminological Psychology (Criminological psychology is a specialised area that uses psychological knowledge to help understand criminal behavior. It investigates the causes of crime by examining social and personality issues that can be contributory factors. It also deals with legal aspects of crime such as courtroom procedures, eyewitness testimony and policing techniques that are used to judge criminals. One of it’s key roles is to develop treatment programmes for young offenders. These are used in the community or in prisons to rehabilitate offenders.
